Microsoft is rolling out new AI features for Windows 11, including a smart screen-scanning tool called Copilot Vision. The update is hitting all Windows 11 users now, with extra perks for Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs.
Copilot Vision lives inside the Copilot app and lets you ask questions about anything showing up across apps and webpages on your screen. It can also guide you through tasks like fixing photo lighting. Microsoft started testing a simpler version of this last year.
Copilot Plus PCs get an AI “agent” in the Settings app. Talk to it naturally, like “I want to enable quiet hours” or “connect Bluetooth device,” and it can flip the switches for you if able.
The “Click to Do” preview tool on Copilot Plus PCs got beefed up too. Hold the Windows key and left-click to trigger quick actions like summarizing text, practicing reading with a Reading Coach, drafting Word docs with Copilot, or scheduling Teams meetings.
Copilot Plus PCs also gain fresh features in Paint—a sticker generator and an object select tool for isolating image parts. Photos app gets an AI lighting option. The Snipping Tool adds a “perfect screenshot” feature that uses AI to snap screen content with precision.
Windows 11 PCs of all kinds get a faster color picker in Snipping Tool and a fix that stops annoying automatic restarts.
Microsoft says these features will roll out over the next month. Some are already available in Windows’ new preview updates and via the Microsoft Store.
