WhatsApp now uses Meta AI to summarize your unread chats.
Tap the new button to open unread messages, and instead of showing all texts, you’ll get a bulleted summary.
The feature launched in English in the US first. More countries and languages are coming later this year.
WhatsApp claims it uses Meta’s Private Processing tech. It’s designed to keep your messages and summaries away from Meta and third parties.
The system creates a “secure cloud environment” so nobody else can see what you missed, not even other people in your group chats.
Meta says this setup protects your private chat data while giving you quick catch-ups.
