The White House rolled out its new AI Action Plan under President Donald Trump, aiming to speed up AI development, slash regulations, and push US AI tools worldwide.

The 28-page plan hits three big goals: boost AI innovation, build American AI infrastructure, and lead on AI diplomacy and security. Trump is expected to sign executive orders this week to back the plan, coinciding with an event in DC hosted by the Hill and Valley Forum and the All-In Podcast, co-hosted by White House AI and crypto advisor David Sacks.

The policy drops calls to address misinformation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and climate change in AI risk rules. It demands AI systems be “objective and free from top-down ideological bias,” though it doesn’t define that clearly yet. The plan outright rejects “radical climate dogma and bureaucratic red tape” as obstacles to winning the AI race.

It aims to kill state AI regulations by threatening to cut their funding if they block AI progress. The strategy also pushes for easing rules on data centers, chip manufacturing, and expanding the power grid for “energy-intensive industries.”

The administration wants a "’try-first’ culture for AI" in industry and government, including the military. It promises rapid worker retraining to adjust to AI-driven economies.

Restrictions on Nvidia’s AI chip sales to China were lifted recently, but the plan still considers tightening semiconductor export controls to block foreign adversaries.

It also includes boosting AI science, investing in biosecurity for new cures, and tackling deepfakes with new laws.

Sacks, Science and Technology Advisor Michael Kratsios, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote the intro, calling this a moment to “seize, or to lose.”

David Sacks, Michael Kratsios, and Marco Rubio stated:

The opportunity that stands before us is both inspiring and humbling
And it is ours to seize, or to lose.
