Artanis has launched its AI consultancy, and it’s poised to shake up how businesses leverage technology. Founded by Laura Rosenberger, the company focuses on integrating AI into non-technical businesses—making it both accessible and efficient.
Rosenberger first got hooked on AI through ChatGPT in 2023 while planning a winery tour in South Africa. "It immediately captured my attention for what it had the potential to do for businesses," she said.
The move from boxed wine to AI consulting wasn’t just a pivot; it was a realization of untapped potential. Artanis aims to help businesses identify where AI can fit best.
Laura Rosenberger stated…
"I started doing some freelance consulting helping people figure out where within their business AI could be a good fit."
Artanis separates its projects into two categories: Product AI for customer-facing services (like chatbots) and Operational AI for internal processes. They’re already streamlining report generation—reducing a six-week process to mere seconds.
Rosenberger emphasized that the team is composed of seasoned experts. "Everyone on the team here either has an AI PhD or has run a business before (and in most cases, both!)."
Laura Rosenberger commented…
"AI should be used to actually add value or do something useful, and not just be a shiny toy."
Artanis has already tackled various sectors, working on projects like an AI study tutor and bespoke call recording tools. They’re even eyeing the drinks industry, where there’s potential for accelerated customer service response times and automated product descriptions.
Rosenberger noted: "Often when you talk about AI for the drinks business, people’s minds go to flavour creation… it’s actually way more powerful for less sexy stuff like back office tasks."
Looking ahead, Artanis is committed to helping businesses "build AI they can trust." With over 20 projects in their portfolio, they’re set to ramp up client engagement through case studies.
Laura Rosenberger shared…
"People often think that because they are gathering lots of data, it’ll be useful for AI one day. But when you dig a little bit deeper, you find that the data maybe isn’t as high quality as you think."
To prepare for AI implementations, Rosenberger advises companies to start experimenting right now. "Try to include it in every task you are doing throughout the day."
