Synthflow AI just raised $20M to push voice AI deeper into the enterprise.
The Berlin startup, launched in 2023, builds no-code, white-labeled voice AI customer service agents. It’s already handling over 5 million calls monthly, with 90% customer retention and enterprise compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
The product plugs into 200+ platforms like Salesforce, Twilio, and HubSpot. Co-founder and CEO Hakob Astabatsyan said voice AI was tougher than expected—real-time speech, interruptions, and latency under 400ms. That challenge hooked them.
“We realized, oh my god, voice is really complicated, right? To actually make AI speak in real time like we do, having this 400 milliseconds latency, and handling interruptions, it turned out to be like such a complicated task,” Astabatsyan said. “We fell in love with this problem, and we said, look, we’re gonna work only on voice bots from now on.”
They launched version one in early 2024 after growing 15x the previous year. Now, backed by Accel, Atlantic Labs, and Singular, they’re ready to scale engineering and open their first US office.
Accel partner Luca Bocchio highlighted the company’s early focus on enterprise-grade integration and compliance.
“This team has [had] really strong views since the getgo about creating more depth with the technology and extensive integrations across CRMs, across tools enterprises may use to really provide enterprise-grade compliance,” Bocchio said.
The conversational AI space is tight with big VC players like Bret Taylor’s Sierra ($285M raised) and Bland AI ($50M+). Still, Synthflow claims to have found product-market fit.
“AI is moving so fast, and sometimes things happen faster than you would expect,” Astabatsyan said. “But for us, it’s very clear. We’re at this stage where, I would say, [we’re] in a post-product-market-fit era, where we know who our customers are. We have a pretty clear idea what’s our product roadmap, and where we want to be in the next three to five years.”
Synthflow AI is betting voice AI will carve out a serious niche in enterprise customer service. The new funding round is the fuel for that race.
