SoftBank is aiming even bigger with AI.

After throwing down billions on the $500 billion Stargate AI Infrastructure project, SoftBank now plans a trillion-dollar AI and robotics hub in Arizona.

The move comes as the company is reportedly eyeing a partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The project, called Project Crystal Land, is still very early stage.

Bloomberg sources say it’s unclear what TSMC’s exact role would be—or if TSMC even wants in. TSMC already has AI projects in Arizona.

SoftBank declined to comment.
