Sapphire just launched the Radeon AI PRO R9700 pro GPU. It’s built for serious workstation and rackmount setups, with the ability to stack up to four cards side by side. Specs are tight: 26.6 cm long, 2 slots thick, and a full 11.1 cm tall. Ideal for 3U rackmounts.

Power input is split with a 12V-2×6 pin at the rear end, not the top. Plus, it has rear bracket holes to secure the card better inside chassis-expanders. Cooling is blower-style with lateral airflow. The card’s backplate is recessed with cutouts on the PCB and shroud for better air intake when multiple GPUs are placed together.

The Radeon AI PRO R9700 focuses on pro visualization and edge AI workloads. It’s based on the full-fat 4nm “Navi 48” chip similar to ASUS’s design and the desktop RX 9070 XT, but doubles memory to a massive 32 GB. This upgrade targets larger LLMs and AI models.

Performance numbers catch attention: peak INT4 throughput hits 1,531 TOPS, while FP16 tops out at 95.7 TFLOP/s.

This makes the PRO R9700 a serious contender for AI acceleration and workstation graphics, especially in dense, multi-GPU setups.
