Samsung just cleared up confusion on Galaxy AI pricing.
The company confirmed that all Galaxy AI features coming “on your phone by default” will stay free forever. No paywall will block Samsung’s own AI tools like Audio Eraser, Object Eraser, Note Assist, Generative Wallpapers, Live Translate, Writing Assist, and more.
The Galaxy AI suite has two sides: Samsung-made features (free and staying free) and Google-powered Gemini features. Google currently offers Gemini features free on Samsung devices but might charge later. Gemini Advanced is already a paid tier with stronger AI tools. 
Samsung told Android Police the “free until end of 2025” message is likely a legal precaution. Suddenly charging for Galaxy AI could cause legal problems.
There might be paid partnerships ahead, like with Perplexity, which Samsung is reportedly talking to. But Samsung’s core Galaxy AI features won’t suddenly start costing users.

Expect to keep using Samsung’s AI tools without surprise fees—for now, at least.
