GPD is testing a new gaming handheld with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU and Radeon 8060S iGPU. A cropped photo of the prototype leaked online, showing it’s not using the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 like earlier mini-PCs.
The device reportedly hits 10,366 points in 3DMark TimeSpy. That’s three times the score of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370-powered Win 2024 2025. Analyst Cary Golomb says the Max+ 395 should have a 20% performance boost over the HX 370 at around 15W. This prototype’s score implies it’s running at a much higher TDP.
The handheld looks like a GPD Win device but lacks the Win 4’s slide-up screen. This could be the rumored GPD Win 5. Golomb isn’t sure if it will actually launch.
Cary Golomb stated:
"not positive on this actually materialising"
No other details or release timelines have been shared yet. Fans will be watching if GPD’s next handheld can push Ryzen AI performance in a portable form factor.
