Pi Network just launched two major features on Pi2Day 2025. First up: Pi App Studio, a platform letting anyone create AI-powered apps without coding, using natural language and guided workflows. This aims to bridge the gap between AI tech and real-world use, tapping Pi’s 60 million users to test and improve apps.
Second: Ecosystem Directory Staking. Pioneers can now stake Pi tokens to boost the ranking of apps in the ecosystem. The goal is to elevate quality apps through community support rather than rigid algorithms or ad-driven influence.
Pi also rolled out updates including a renamed Pi Desktop app (combining node and mining), a new Node ranking page showing top 5,000 nodes ranked by performance metrics, and Onramper integration in Pi Wallet to simplify crypto onboarding with KYB compliance. 
Mainnet migration opened up for 500,000+ previously blocked users following KYC and process improvements. Also, the .pi domain auction extended to September 30, 2025, to support new apps created via Pi App Studio.
To celebrate, Pi launched the Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge running June 27–July 7, unlocking digital prizes as users explore new features.

Pi believes that the world can solve these problems using both AI and blockchain technologies. In Pi’s view, the intersection between the two technologies expands beyond the typical understanding of “decentralized AI applications,” which often narrowly focuses on decentralized data, computing, governance, and ownership for AI accountability. While these aspects remain important, Pi Network sees a more fundamental utility of blockchain:
a scalable and accessible solution for societal distribution and redistribution.
Thus, Pi emphasizes a broader vision for blockchain and AI: the macro-level decentralization of the production created by AI through blockchain. Through blockchain technology, production by AI should be equitably and inclusively distributed among humans in crypto networks, addressing core challenges around human well-being, economic equity, and the sustainable role of human intelligence in an AI-driven future.

- Create topic-specific AI chatbots trained on creator expertise for tailored responses.
- Beta open platform for no-code app building with human languages.
- Apps deploy automatically to cloud and launch inside Pi ecosystem.
- Connect apps to Pi’s social features and monetize with Pi Ad Network and .pi domain naming.
The Ecosystem Directory Staking feature starts rolling out June 28 via Pi Browser.
Node version 0.5.2 improves security, resizable desktop app window, and public key access to identify nodes in the ranking page.
Mainnet migration improvements use dedicated blockchain API servers for better stability and throughput.
