Nvidia is sidelining China in its revenue forecasts amid ongoing U.S. chip export restrictions. CEO Jensen Huang told CNN the company doesn’t expect the U.S. to roll back limits on selling its top AI chips to China anytime soon.
The Trump administration slapped licensing rules on Nvidia’s H20 chips—the most advanced AI chips it can export to China—in April. Nvidia already flagged a $8 billion revenue hit in Q2 linked to these restrictions.
Huang made it clear China won’t factor into Nvidia’s near-term financial outlook.
“I’m not counting on the Trump administration reversing its chip export controls and that it would be a nice ‘bonus’ if they did.”
Nvidia didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
