Meta is building AI smart glasses with high-end fashion brand Prada, CNBC reported Tuesday. No launch date has been revealed.
This move marks Meta’s effort to widen its AI eyewear reach beyond its longtime partner EssilorLuxottica. Prada isn’t owned by EssilorLuxottica but works with the company on eyewear and recently renewed their licensing deal.
Meta has already pushed millions of Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. It teased a collaboration with another EssilorLuxottica brand, Oakley, just this week. Bloomberg says Oakley’s smart glasses could drop as soon as Friday, priced near $360.
The Prada glasses join a growing lineup as Meta doubles down on AI fashion eyewear.
