Google is rolling out Gemini AI to Wear OS watches starting this week. The upgrade hits Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi smartwatches running Wear OS 4+ in the US and India. This move inches Google closer to replacing Google Assistant with Gemini everywhere.

Users can start Gemini by saying “Hey Google,” long-pressing the side button, or tapping the Gemini app. The AI can answer questions like cooking times and weather, help with multi-app tasks like summarizing emails or adding calendar events, and remember details like parking spots or reminders.

Google is also expanding Circle to Search capabilities. Launched last year, it lets users circle or tap items on-screen to trigger searches. Now, Gemini’s AI Mode powers deeper reasoning and follow-up questions without switching apps.

After a Circle to Search query, an AI Overview appears with key info broken down and more visuals. Users can tap “dive deeper with AI Mode” for ongoing queries.

Circle to Search now works with mobile gaming, helping identify characters or strategies.

Google is also making AI Mode easier to use via Google Lens on Android and iOS.

Pixel 9 Pro owners get a free year of Google AI Pro, which includes Veo 3 for generating short videos with natural audio from text prompts.

“Remember I parked on level 4, spot 27” or “Remind me to go grocery shopping after work.”

This rollout is a clear push to fold Google’s AI tech into wearables and search, making the AI assistant faster, smarter, and more interactive.
