Google just launched Web Guide, a new Search Labs experiment that uses AI to organize search results smarter and faster.

Web Guide groups links by specific parts of your question. It’s powered by a custom version of Gemini AI, which helps it understand queries and web content better. The result: more relevant pages pop up — including sites you might’ve missed before.

It uses a "query fan-out" method, sending out multiple related searches at once to dig up top results.

Try it on open-ended searches like “how to solo travel in Japan” or detailed queries like, “My family is spread across multiple time zones. What are the best tools for staying connected and maintaining close relationships despite the distance?”

This launch follows Google’s push to embed AI deeper into search to make info easier to find. You can test Web Guide now in Search Labs.
