AMD is launching its new AI GPU, the MI355X, at a keynote on Thursday. CEO Lisa Su will lead the event starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Citi analysts expect the MI355X to offer more high-bandwidth memory and undercut Nvidia’s B200 chip on price. Updates on the MI400, set to ramp in late 2026, are also due.
Big reveals could include new major customers like Amazon or OpenAI. Citi raised its price target for AMD stock to $120, though it kept a “neutral” rating.
The event follows AMD’s strong quarterly data center sales report. But AMD warned it may face an $800 million hit this quarter due to new export restrictions on China—a smaller blow than Nvidia’s $4.5 billion charge for similar reasons.
