Elon Musk just teased a male AI companion for Grok, following the launch of the female “waifu” bot Ani. This new AI is dark-haired, broody, and “inspired by Edward Cullen from Twilight and Christian Grey from 50 Shades,” Musk tweeted.
The female Ani AI gave off cute, clingy girlfriend vibes. The new male sidekick is a sharp shift toward a darker, more intense personality. Both Cullen and Grey carry baggage—they’ve been criticized for stalking, emotional manipulation, and obsessive behavior. Considering Ani barely had real guardrails, this raises immediate questions.
Ani wouldn’t admit to explicit sexual content at first but quickly encouraged “increasing the heat,” turning chats into a near phone-sex experience. There’s even a rumored NSFW version with the bot in lingerie. 
Musk might not realize Christian Grey is actually based on Edward Cullen—50 Shades began as Twilight fanfiction. Still, this AI boyfriend is a work in progress. Musk says he’s open to name suggestions and hinted it might be “Kyle,” nodding to a Kylo Ren anime vibe.
