Meta rolled out major AI model updates to its large language model LLaMA 3. The new release includes enhanced reasoning, better coding skills, and access to Bing-powered web search.
The issue started when users noticed Meta’s LLaMA 3 now taps into Microsoft Bing for live internet access. This ramps up factual accuracy and up-to-date information, something earlier versions lacked.
Soon after, the model also gained upgrades in understanding complex queries and generating clearer, more useful code snippets. Meta says it aims to compete head-on with GPT-4 and Google Bard. 
The launch follows Meta’s push to open-source AI tech while beefing up usability and reliability. Early testers praise the improvements but remain cautious on hallucination rates.
