Conveyor launches AI to automate slow vendor security reviews and RFPs
Conveyor is speeding up the tedious process of vendor security and compliance reviews with AI. Founded by Chas Ballew in 2021 after his stint at Aptible, Conveyor uses AI to fill out customer security questionnaires—work that normally drags out deals for weeks.
Ballew said customers hate the redundant, repetitive security reviews and happily hand them off to the AI. Conveyor claims its AI agent autonomously completes over 90% of security questions accurately, cutting huge chunks of time from sales cycles.
The startup landed early big-name customers like Zendesk, Atlassian, Qualtrics, Workday, Netflix, and Zapier, plus 400 more companies.
Now Conveyor is expanding into automating requests for proposals (RFPs), a core part of sales that often slows down deals across sectors beyond tech.
The new AI-driven RFP product helped Conveyor close a $20 million Series B round led by SignalFire, joined by Oregon Venture Fund and Cervin Ventures.
Ballew emphasized tight security and customer data isolation to prevent leaks or cross-contamination.
“We keep everything very secure, very isolated for each customer, which is very important,”
Ballew said.
“Companies want to make sure that their confidential data is only used to process their information
and it’s not exposed or mixed in with anyone else’s data.”
Conveyor joins a growing field of startups tackling sales-side headaches with automation, including Loopio, Responsive, and Rohirrim.
