OpenAI is rolling out new features for ChatGPT aimed at business users. The update includes integrations with cloud services, meeting recording, and support for deep research connections.
Users can now connect ChatGPT to Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Drive. This allows the AI to search users’ own documents for answers. For example, analysts can pull data from slide decks to build investment theses.
OpenAI confirmed that the feature adheres to an organization’s access control hierarchy.
The meeting recording and transcription feature is also now available. It can generate timestamped notes and suggested actions. Users can search their meeting notes just like documents across the integrated services. Action items can be converted into a Canvas document for projects.
This feature competes with tools from ClickUp, Zoom, and Notion, all of which have added transcription and summarization capabilities.
Additionally, OpenAI is introducing deep research connectors for HubSpot, Linear, and certain Microsoft and Google tools in beta. Users can now compile detailed research reports using data from these sources along with web information. Connectors will be accessible to all paid users.
Customers can also utilize MCP (Model Context Protocol) to link to other research tools. MCP support is available for Pro, Team, and Enterprise users.
These updates indicate OpenAI’s push to strengthen its presence in enterprise environments. The company has a solid lead here, as startups like Notion and Lux Capital-backed Context vie for AI-powered office tools.
Three million companies are now subscribed to OpenAI’s enterprise products, up from two million reported by COO Brad Lightcap in February.
