Apple is gearing up for its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in just a week, and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has dropped some key details.
Apple’s AI announcements will be limited this year, following last year’s delays. The company plans to open its Apple Foundation Models on-device AI to third-party developers, allowing up to 3 billion parameters for app integration. Features will include text summarization and auto-correct.
iOS 26 is on the docket. Users can expect a new battery power management mode, a revamped Translate app with Siri and AirPods integration, and a major visual overhaul inspired by visionOS. 
Apple is also bringing new AI features to Safari and Photos. However, the advanced LLM for Siri and an upgraded Shortcuts app won’t be making an appearance.
As for macOS 26, it will reportedly be named Tahoe, reflecting the California landmarks theme. This update is expected to feature a fresh visual identity, echoing visionOS.
Additionally, Apple is rolling out a centralized gaming app that replaces Apple Game Center. This new app will unify games across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS, complete with leaderboards and communication tools for gamers.
The stage is set, and excitement is building as Apple prepares to drop these announcements at WWDC 25.
