Anthropic has launched a new blog, Claude Explains. The site features content primarily generated by its AI model, Claude. Posts cover technical topics, with a focus on Claude’s applications, such as “Simplify complex codebases with Claude.”

The level of automation isn’t as clear-cut as it seems. A spokesperson stated that Anthropic’s human teams oversee the content, enhancing Claude’s drafts with insights and context. They emphasized that this isn’t just straightforward AI output; the editing process is collaborative.

“This isn’t just vanilla Claude output — the editorial process requires human expertise and goes through iterations,” the spokesperson said. “From a technical perspective, Claude Explains shows a collaborative approach where Claude [creates] educational content, and our team reviews, refines, and enhances it.”

Visitors might mistakenly think Claude is solely responsible for the blog’s content. The homepage promotes it as a platform where Claude writes on various topics without highlighting human involvement.

The blog is meant to illustrate how AI and human expertise can work together. “Claude Explains is an early example of how teams can use AI to augment their work and provide greater value to their users,” the spokesperson added.

This launch comes on the heels of OpenAI rolling out a model designed for creative writing. Similar AI initiatives are sprouting across the industry. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg aims for an all-in-one AI ad tool. Meanwhile, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman predicts that AI might eventually handle 95% of marketing tasks.

Media outlets are also integrating AI to enhance productivity. Gannett is testing AI for sports recaps, Bloomberg added AI summaries to articles, and Business Insider pushed for writers to use AI tools amid recent layoffs.

Despite the ongoing AI push, several reported issues exist. Companies like Business Insider faced backlash over recommending nonexistent books generated by AI. Bloomberg has had to correct numerous deceptive AI summaries.

The Anthropic spokesperson confirmed the company is still hiring in various departments, despite the AI-driven blog effort.
