AMD just scooped up the entire team behind Untether AI.
Untether AI is a Toronto startup known for AI inference chips that claim faster speeds and better energy efficiency. Terms of the deal remain under wraps.
Untether launched its chip last October targeting physical AI uses like cars and farm equipment. The company raised over $150 million from Intel Capital, Radical Ventures, and others.
This move follows AMD’s acquisition of AI software optimizer Brium earlier this week.
