Lucy Guo has unseated Taylor Swift as the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire, according to Forbes.

Guo, 30, made her billions from the AI boom. She co-founded Scale AI in 2016 with Alexandr Wang. Scale AI, which helps train chatbots for OpenAI and Alphabet, is valued at $25 billion in a deal expected to close soon.

Guo holds about a 5% stake in Scale AI, worth roughly $1.2 billion. Forbes lists her net worth at $1.3 billion, edging out Swift.

Guo was a college dropout from Carnegie Mellon, gifted coder, and former Quora and Snapchat employee. She ran operations at Scale AI until she was reportedly fired after clashing with Wang.

She now runs Passes, a content platform billed as a family-friendly alternative to OnlyFans and Patreon. Passes raised $40 million in a 2024 Series A round.

But Passes and Guo face a serious class-action lawsuit accusing the platform of allowing child pornography. The suit alleges Passes knowingly circulated underage explicit content and accuses Guo of overruling safety controls to let it happen.

Passes banned all underage creators and wiped related content just before the suit. Guo’s lawyers call the allegations “baseless” and filed to dismiss the case, claiming it’s a “defamatory attempt” to target Passes and Guo financially.

“Guo personally intervened to override Passes’ strict internal safety controls tailored for creators of social media content aged between 15 and 17 years old to strip and deprive Plaintiff of any protections offered by Passes against the exploitation of a minor,” the complaint said.

“This lawsuit is part of an orchestrated attempt to defame Passes and Ms. Guo, and these claims have no basis in reality,” Guo’s lawyer Rollo Baker stated.

“Ms. Guo and Passes categorically reject the baseless allegations made against them in the lawsuit, which was only filed against them after they rejected a $15 million payment demand.”

Guo is known for a flashy lifestyle: she lives in Miami and LA, never cooks, works eight hours even on vacation, hits two Barry’s bootcamp classes daily, and frequents techno raves.

On Forbes’ list, Guo ranks No. 26 among America’s richest self-made women. Swift is No. 21 but remains the richest female musician with $1.6 billion from her “Eras Tour.”

Diane Hendricks tops the list with $22.3 billion, thanks to ABC Supply.
