Nudify and similar AI “undress” sites keep raking in millions. New research from Indicator shows 85 of these sites, which create nonconsensual nude images with AI, pulled an average of 18.5 million monthly visitors over six months. They earn up to $36 million a year.
Most rely on tech giants like Google, Amazon, and Cloudflare to stay online. Amazon and Cloudflare host 62 of the sites, Google’s sign-in system is used on 54, and other services like payment processors come from mainstream providers.
Alexios Mantzarlis, cofounder of Indicator, slammed Silicon Valley for letting this “lucrative business” run wild. 
“They should have ceased providing any and all services to AI nudifiers when it was clear that their only use case was sexual harassment,” Mantzarlis said.
Amazon says it acts fast on reported violations.
“When we receive reports of potential violations of our terms, we act quickly to review and take steps to disable prohibited content,” AWS spokesperson Ryan Walsh said.
Google claims its policies ban illegal and harassing content.
“Some of these sites violate our terms, and our teams are taking action to address these violations, as well as working on longer-term solutions,” Google spokesperson Karl Ryan said.
Cloudflare hasn’t responded yet.
The rise of these nudify sites traces back to explicit deepfake tech starting in 2019. They profit by selling credits or subscriptions to generate snatched, fabricated nudes — often targeting women and girls, sometimes even children. Victims face serious abuse, cyberbullying, and a persistent digital footprint that’s nearly impossible to erase.
UK law now criminalizes making or sharing explicit deepfakes, but these sites remain accessible to millions globally.
