Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin are fighting back against fake AI family photos.
The controversy started when a digitally altered image showing the couple with their "son" went viral online. Fans panicked thinking it was real, but both stars’ agencies quickly confirmed it’s an AI-generated fake.
The photo was originally posted by an Indian social media user who shared multiple fake family portraits. One image looked realistic enough to trick fans, even though Hyun Bin’s arm was missing and hands were distorted. Plus, the supposed child didn’t match the age of their actual son, born in 2022. 
Hyun Bin’s agency told OSEN on July 5 that the image is fake and they are working to remove it through legal channels.
Son Ye Jin’s agency also spoke out, stressing the actress has never revealed any photos of her child. They noted fake images and fan-made pictures have circulated since the couple married, and it’s tough to act against foreign accounts beyond reporting.

The pair began dating after starring in 2020’s hit tvN drama Crash Landing on You. Their real-life relationship gained huge fan support, with the show staying in Netflix Japan’s Top 10 for 72 weeks.
They married in 2022 and welcomed their child later that year, carefully keeping their family life private. Son Ye Jin manages two social media accounts but has never shown her child. Hyun Bin has only mentioned once that his son resembles Son Ye Jin more.
This incident highlights the growing problem celebrities face with AI-created content blurring the lines between real and fake.
