Wedbush Fund Advisers launched the Dan IVES Wedbush AI Revolution ETF on the NYSE, ticker IVES. The ETF targets investors looking for exposure to the booming AI sector, based on Wall Street tech bull Dan Ives’s proprietary research.
“The AI revolution is the biggest tech theme we’ve ever seen,” Ives said in a phone interview with Yahoo Finance. “I’ve started [this] ETF because it’s about the second, third, fourth derivatives of AI playing out, and that’s the important thing for investors.”
The fund tracks 30 companies from Ives’s "AI Revolution Theme." It includes major players like Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), and Palantir (PLTR), while also featuring Chinese firms like Alibaba (BABA) and Baidu (BIDU).
Ives explained, “I’ve never been too focused on valuations. It’s about the themes, the best places, and the disruptors. That’s all the work we do in the field.”
The ETF will shuffle its holdings a few times a year based on market shifts and evolving trends.
The fund is open to both institutional and retail investors, with a strong focus on retail.
IVES enters a crowded space, with about 4,000 ETFs currently trading in the U.S., over 25 of which focus on AI.
However, Ives stated, “There is only one Dan Ives.” He emphasized that his ETF represents his unique investment strategy and research.
