Plaud.ai launched the Plaud AI Pro, a new physical notetaker, priced at $179. The release comes two years after the original Plaud Note and a year after the AI Pin.

The Plaud Note Pro still fits on the back of your phone but adds a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen showing battery life and recording status.

It holds 30 hours of recording at a standard range, or 50 hours with a 9.8-foot range on a single charge. The device now has four MEMS mics—doubling last-gen’s two—to boost audio capture up to 16.4 feet, doubling the range. Noise suppression and speaker detection have also improved.

The Pro model adds automatic call vs. in-person recording detection, removing the need to manually switch modes.

Plaud.ai also revamped its companion app. You can now add text notes and images like slides in the app. It offers “multidimensional summaries” that pull insights based on templates tailored for your role. Users can build their own templates, too.

A beta feature allows querying your notes directly.

Pre-orders start now with shipping expected October 2025. Early buyers get 600 free transcription minutes and a magnetic case. Free plans offer 300 minutes monthly; extra minutes require a paid plan or top-up.

Plaud.ai has shipped over a million AI notetakers, with nearly half of users upgrading to the Pro plan. The company stands out as competitors like Bee got acquired by Amazon and Friend just started shipping after delays.
