Assort Health just raised $50 million in a Series B round, hitting a $750 million valuation. The deal came only four months after their $22 million Series A. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, according to sources.

The startup builds AI voice agents to automate patient communications for specialty care clinics. Their bots handle high-volume tasks like scheduling, cancellations, and common questions—freeing up human staff for more complex cases.

This cash injection arrives amid a wave of funding for companies tackling patient phone overload. Last week, EliseAI scored a $250 million Series E led by Andreessen Horowitz at a $2.2 billion valuation. Hello Patient also raised $20 million in Series A this month.

Assort Health targets small and medium specialty practices prone to long wait times. Quick AI responses aim to keep patients from jumping to competitors. The startup’s ARR sits just above $3 million but is growing fast.

Initially focused on orthopedics and physical therapy, Assort recently expanded into Ob-Gyn, dermatology, and dentistry.

Founded two years ago by ex-med student Jon Wang and former Facebook engineer Jeff Liu, the company’s acceleration is a bet on AI easing patient load beyond scribes.

Lightspeed and Assort did not respond to comment requests.
