Google updated NotebookLM with major language boosts Monday. Video Overviews now support 80 languages, including French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Audio Overviews also got a serious upgrade for non-English audio summaries—now longer and more detailed.
Last month, NotebookLM launched Video Overviews to turn notes, PDFs, and images into video presentations. At first, it was English-only. This update opens visual summaries to a global crowd.
Audio Overviews used to offer only short summaries outside English. Now, users in 80+ languages can access the full, deeper overview. A shorter highlight version remains an option. 
These changes are live now and rolling out globally over the next week.
Google says these upgrades help NotebookLM’s global users learn better with video or audio summaries in their preferred language.
