Google is expanding its AI Mode in Search to 180 new countries, adding agentic features and personalization. The feature, previously limited to the U.S., U.K., and India, lets users ask complex questions and follow-ups directly within Search.

The new agentic tools can now book restaurant reservations based on detailed preferences like party size, date, time, location, and cuisine. AI Mode searches multiple platforms for real-time availability and offers curated options.

This booking feature is live in the U.S. for Google AI Ultra subscribers ($249.99/month) through the “Agentic capabilities in AI Mode” experiment on Google Labs.

Google is also rolling out personalized search results for users in this experiment. The system uses past searches and clicks in Search and Maps to suggest dining options matching user preferences like cuisine types or outdoor seating.

Users can control personalization settings in their Google Account.

The update adds a “Share” button so users can send AI Mode responses to others for collaborative planning, like trips or parties.

Google announced this global AI Mode expansion and new features on Thursday. The launch follows months of experimentation with personalized, agentic AI experiences inside Search.
