Worldcoin swag spotted beyond crypto events
Worldcoin’s weird SF launch event last fall came with unexpected merch: a sweatshirt by Original Favorites. Writer Lauren Goode snagged one after checking the tag at the Mission District warehouse party. The sweatshirt skips the typical bold Worldcoin logo but nails that old-school “rough and tough” 90s vibe—a feel like vintage Champion hoodies that hold up wash after wash.
Goode showed off the find during a recent chat with Michael Calore. They praised its sturdy fabric and retro comfort. No flashy crypto branding, just solid cozy gear.
Lauren Goode stated about the sweatshirt:
“I love this sweatshirt. It is like in the ’90s when you used to buy sweatshirts and they were so rough and tough, they almost felt like cardboard?”
“This is what this is.”
On a different note, Calore recommended comedy to shake up the tech-heavy talk. He pointed to Marc Maron’s new HBO special Panicked, highlighting a bit on Watch Duty, the wildfire alert app. The story’s about confusion over evacuation messages during 2025’s LA wildfires—a mix of dark humor and relatable tech woes.
