OpenAI launches GPT-5 to all ChatGPT users with PhD-level smarts
OpenAI just rolled out GPT-5, its most advanced AI model yet. It’s available now in four flavors: nano, mini, standard, and chat. Expect expert-level skills across coding, math, writing, health, and visual tasks.
The model brings boosted reasoning and a real-time router that picks the best GPT version for your chat. There’s also a deeper “thinking” mode for tougher problems. OpenAI claims GPT-5 matches or beats expert knowledge in 40 fields, including law, logistics, sales, and engineering. 
GPT-5 nails benchmarks like SWE-Bench and Aider Polyglot with cleaner code and faster debugging. It chains multiple tool calls and follows multi-step instructions better. Hallucinations have dropped significantly.
Users can now personalize GPT-5 with chat personalities (Cynic, Robot, Listener, Nerd), color themes, plus Gmail and Google Calendar integrations.
Free users get access with limits. Plus and Pro subscribers enjoy higher limits and premium versions.
