ServiceNow’s $2.85 billion acquisition of AI startup Moveworks is stuck in a U.S. antitrust investigation.
The issue started back in June when the Justice Department launched an in-depth review of the deal. Bloomberg reports both companies have now received a “second request” for more information. That means the government wants more details before letting the acquisition move forward.
ServiceNow announced the Moveworks purchase in March, aiming to close the deal by late 2025. But with this regulatory roadblock, that timeline could slip.
Moveworks has declined to comment. TechCrunch reached out to ServiceNow and will update if they respond.
