Kenyan loan officers get cattle-tracking tool from startup Bad
Bad just launched a new smartphone app that helps loan officers monitor herds in Kenya. The app uses photos and data collection right in the field to track livestock health and improve loan management.
The tool is designed for tough heat and rural road conditions, enabling quick updates on the status of animals. Loan officers take pictures of the herd with a smartphone and input data instantly.
This rollout targets savannah regions where loans are backed by cattle assets. Early users report faster loan processing and more accurate herd records.
Bad aims to expand the service to more areas soon, integrating tech into traditional livestock financing.
