Google is turning NotebookLM into a research hub. Starting today, Desktop users get access to a featured notebook collection with content from The Economist, The Atlantic, professors, authors, and even Shakespeare.
The new add-on lets users explore topics like health, finance, travel, and life advice with ready-made notebooks. You can read original sources or ask questions that return answers with citations. Google also added pre-generated Audio Overviews and Mind Maps to browse main themes.
This builds on NotebookLM’s recent launch of public notebook sharing, which hit over 140,000 shared notebooks in just a month. Google promises more featured collections coming soon, expanding its collaboration with The Economist and The Atlantic.
