Google is adding image-to-video generation to its Veo 3 AI video generator inside the Gemini app.

The company first rolled out this feature in its Flow AI video tool at Google I/O in May. Now, Veo 3’s video gen is live in over 150 countries as of last week.

Only Google AI Ultra and Pro plan users get access—for now. They can create up to three videos daily, with no carry-over.

Users select “Videos” from the prompt box, upload a photo, and describe the sound to add audio. After generation, videos can be downloaded or shared.

Since launch seven weeks ago, users have produced over 40 million videos via Gemini and Flow. Veo 3 videos carry a visible “Veo” watermark plus an invisible SynthID digital watermark to flag AI content.

Earlier this year, Google launched a tool to detect SynthID content.
