Amazon CEO Andy Jassy says generative AI will cut corporate jobs at the company.

Jassy sent a memo pushing the idea that more AI agents rolling out will change how work gets done. That means fewer people needed for some corporate roles.

The exact size of job cuts is unclear, Jassy admitted.

A recent World Economic Forum survey backs this up: 40% of employers plan staff cuts in roles AI can automate.

Andy Jassy wrote in the memo:

“We will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs.”
