Bito launches free tier for AI Code Review Agent powered by Amazon Nova Lite
Bito is rolling out a free tier for its AI Code Review Agent. The new plan uses Amazon Nova Lite to deliver fast, cost-effective code review summaries for developers. This move aims to hook more users and push enterprise adoption.
The free tier offers AI-generated pull request (PR) summaries. The paid Teams Plan adds advanced features like impact analysis and one-click line fixes. Amazon Nova Lite made the free option feasible thanks to its low cost and solid performance.
Bito evaluated multiple models over two weeks, including Amazon Nova models on Bedrock and OpenAI’s GPT-4o mini. Amazon Nova Lite won for speed, cost, and quality. The entire stack runs on Amazon Bedrock, enabling smooth model switching between tiers—Nova Lite for free, Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet for paid plans.
Results from customers are strong:
- PR merges accelerated by 89%
- Regressions cut by 34%
- Delivers 87% of a PR’s feedback
- Works in 50+ programming languages
Bito’s free tier attracted three times more prospective customers than expected. After a 14-day trial, many choose to upgrade for full capabilities.
Bito is also using Amazon Nova Lite to power chat features in its developer assistant Bito Wingman, combining code generation, error handling, and architecture advice.
Co-founder and CEO Amar Goel said:
“Our challenge is to push the capabilities of AI to deliver new value to developers, but at a reasonable cost.”
“Amazon Nova Lite gives us the very fast, low-cost model we needed to power the free offering of our AI Code Review Agent—and attract new customers.”
Bito’s AI Code Review Agent now serves over 100,000 active developers worldwide. Customers include Gainsight, Privado, and PubMatic.
