Apple is rolling out Visual Intelligence in iOS 26. The AI-powered image analysis tool now lives right on the iPhone screen. It works with any app, no extra steps needed.
Spot a gray jacket in your social feed? Press the same button as your screenshot, and Visual Intelligence will search for that jacket on Google and apps you use most.
It’s not just about shopping. Visual Intelligence can also pull event details like date, time, and location from images and prep calendar entries for you.
There’s even a quick shortcut to upload screenshots to ChatGPT for deeper analysis.
Apple’s software head Craig Federighi called on developers to jump in. They can integrate their apps using App Intents and let users search visually across their favorite apps with the iPhone camera.
Craig Federighi stated:
“For developers, you can use App Intents to integrate search capabilities from your apps into this experience.”
“We’re also making it possible for you to search visually across your most-used apps using Visual Intelligence with the iPhone camera.”
