Meta is bringing AI into recruitment. The company plans to automate major chunks of its hiring process with AI this year.

AI will test coding skills, generate interview question prompts, match interviewers with candidates, transcribe notes, and flag overlapping job posts.

Meta also wants an AI assistant to evaluate human interviewers — flagging non-inclusive questions and rating interviewer quality based on candidate progression and feedback.

The AI will handle scheduling preferences and even track interviewers’ skills, like language fluency. The goal: speed up hiring, boost flexibility, and improve what Meta calls "interviewer conduct rate."

A Meta spokesperson told Business Insider:

"Like many other companies, we’re using AI to make recruiting more efficient and match candidates with open roles more quickly. Humans talking to humans will always be part of the interview process, that remains unchanged."

Other Big Tech firms are on board too. Amazon uses AI to screen candidates but cracks down on applicants using AI tools during interviews.

According to LinkedIn’s recent report, 37% of companies are already experimenting with AI in hiring — a jump from 27% just a year ago.

Meta’s AI hiring push is another sign that AI is rapidly reshaping how top tech companies scout and vet talent.
