Einride‘s founder and CEO, Robert Falck, is stepping down as the company prepares for growth and a potential IPO. Falck shifts to executive chairman, focusing on long-term strategy.

Roozbeh Charli, currently the CFO, takes over as CEO immediately. Charli has been pivotal in building Einride’s operational reach in Europe and North America over the last five years.

Falck, who launched Einride in 2016, aims to revolutionize the trucking industry with electric and autonomous vehicles. He previously founded a nightclub guest list startup and worked at Volvo.

"After nearly a decade of building as CEO, it’s time to shift my focus to where I can create the most long-term value," Falck stated. "As executive chairman, I will focus on the overall company strategy, including ensuring that Einride can go public when we find the time is right."

Charli plans to extend Falck’s vision and responsibly scale the company. Einride currently operates one of the largest electric truck fleets across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, partnering with firms like PepsiCo and Carlsberg.

To date, Einride has raised $654.26 million, with its last funding round of $500 million announced in 2022. Falck disclosed that the company needs to raise an additional $100 million to support its path to profitability.

He also noted that Einride has reached about $5 billion in contracted revenue and aims for approximately $50 million in annual recurring revenue for 2024.
